Our Mission…

The Mark Edward Fund exists to meet suicide prevention where it matters most… in schools, hospitals, and local communities.

HOW IT STARTED…

It began with a personal loss and a desire to help — first through national organizations, then through something more grassroots and local. Over time, it became clear that the most meaningful impact often happens close to home. That shift in focus is what led to the creation of the Mark Edward Fund… a way to turn personal loss into something that could help others.

WHAT WE BELIEVE…

This isn’t about big campaigns or surface-level awareness. It’s about doing the work. Putting resources into the hands of people who can actually help. Listening instead of assuming. Showing up instead of waiting.

We believe there’s more to everyone’s story… more than what you see, more than what gets said out loud. That belief drives everything we do.

The goal is to create space for the conversations that don’t happen often enough… the ones that can save a life. We want to remove the stigma around mental health and make it easier for people to talk about what really matters.

It’s personal. It’s local. And it’s built on the idea that small, honest efforts, when done together, can make a real difference.
